Management Panel

When creating projects, project owners have the option of adding them to MateCat’s Management Panel by logging in with their Google account.
This panel shows a list of all the projects created using the Google account in question and allows the user to check the progress and status of projects or recover them if necessary.

To log in with a Google account, click on the profile icon in the top-right corner of the homepage. A window pops up where you can log in to MateCat by clicking the “Sign in with Google” button, or sign up using a different email address.

Note: remember to always log in before creating a project if you want to add it to your Management Panel. If you create a project without logging in with your Google account, the job URL of the project will not be saved automatically, so please remember to save it manually in a safe place in order to be able to recover it easily if needed.

To access the Management Panel you can:

Project owners have a wide range of management features available to them via the Management Panel. A key feature is the ability to create a team within your Personal area (the default workspace) and invite colleagues to share and manage projects.

You can view and filter archived and cancelled projects by clicking on the Filter button next to the Search by project name box.

For privacy reasons, your projects are automatically archived after 90 days of inactivity. You will still be able to reactivate them by writing an email to our support team.

Project information and available actions

Every project line contains all the information regarding the project, and allows the project owner to carry out several project-level actions.

How to assign a project to a translator

After creating the project, project owners can click on the Assign job to Translators link to assign translation projects to translators by simply entering their email address and setting the delivery time.

An email will then be sent to the translator with a link to the translation job. Once the email has been sent, a notification pops up on the project owner’s management panel which displays the following information: email address of the translator, job number and language pair.
