Does MateCat include a QA quality check feature?

MateCat automatically performs a set of quality checks and produces warnings for issues with tags, white spaces, and translation inconsistencies at both segment and project level. Please read the following article for more information on the topic.

Can I customize the QA with a regular expression to find strings?

No, but we might add this feature in the future.

Is the QA process customizable? For example, can I visualize the list of QA issues and select/deselect any of them as I like?

No, it is not customizable.

We intentionally left any numbers or dates from the source segment untranslated in the target segment. Are there any ways to catch this as an error in the QA check?

At the moment, the QA process does not include this feature, but it will be added in the future.

What are translation conflicts? I don’t know what to do with them.

A translation conflict is when the same source segment has 2 different target translations. You can change one of the translations to match the other, or you can leave the conflict, it’s up to you. You can read more about translation conflicts here.

When there is a translation conflict, can I download the file?

Translation conflicts are treated as warnings rather than errors. This means that you should still be able to download the translation, disregarding the pop up warning.
We suggest downloading the Preview when a translation conflict appears in order to check if the translation will be generated as you would like it to.
