Who developed MateCat?
MateCat is the result of a 3-year research project led by a consortium composed of the international research center FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler), Translated srl, the Université du Maine, and the University of Edinburgh.
Translated has continued developing the MateCat tool as open source software since November 2014.

Project and TM backups are done automatically by MateCat, you don’t have to worry about it.

Yes, unlimited project managers can use MateCat.
How can I look up my translation performance?
You can find information about your translation performance in the job’s editing log.

We are expecting to start a very large project with about 450K words in total. The project will start with about 150K words and progressively increase to about 450K words in a week. Do you see any potential issues with this?
MateCat will perfectly manage your project, its size has no effect. We suggest using the same Private TM on all the projects.
